How did you get into running and what do you love about it?
I started running at a very early age running around the block where I grew up in Beacon Hill, Sydney every morning with my mum. This transitioned into cross-training as I went through my teens in Surf Life Saving and then turned into a passion in my mid 20’s. I love that running is something that is so basic and accessible but it can be one of the hardest sports to do. I also love the solidarity you can get when running on your own or with friends in the mountains.
What’s your favourite trail to run/hike/explore?
Anywhere in Europe, you can’t go wrong in the mountains there but the best places I have run in Europe have been: Cortina, Wengan and Lac De Tseuzier.
What makes it so good?
The scenery, Instagram any of those places and you’ll understand why but for me, I tend to lose track of time and what's going on in the world when I am there.
RunHunters was born from the realisation that it was hard for not only myself but clients and friends to find great runs (mainly on trail) in our local areas but also whilst travelling regionally and internationally. There is a lot of fragmented information across the internet and we wanted to bring locals knowledge to the palm of your hand via your mobile device. Our mission at RunHunters is to give all runners the confidence and knowledge to explore new places to run both regionally and internationally. We do this via quality running routes curated by locals.

Tell us about the awesome crew that is VipersRC and what makes it so special?
Vipers Run Club is a men's based running group on Sydney's Northern Beaches. My best mate (Olly Woolrych) and I started it just over 1 year ago to get men connecting with each other in a healthy environment using running as a vehicle to achieve just that. Since then we have grown from strength to strength as a community and have started a stack of other initiatives such as our Summer Wellness Series, Strava challenges and Weekend trips to the mountains. I believe because we have taken a slow-growth approach by ensuring everyone knows everyone's name and invested our time with internal Viper profiles, Get to know your fellow Vipers sessions and Viper Stories (on Instagram every Monday), we have created an extremely strong and engaged community. Secondly, we have made everyone feel welcomed during our running sessions, it doesn't matter if you're an Olympic athlete or a guy that runs once a week, everyone feels welcomed and on the same level.
